Spearheading the Inequity & Poverty Grand Challenge, Elsa supports research addressing the root causes of inequity and poverty as well as potential solutions and other issues related to the challenge.

Elsa also directs CSBS’s Policy and Research Legislative Fellows program which provide experiences to graduate students in conducting policy relevant research for the public good.

Elsa’s educational background includes a MA in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
